I had this catalog too. I bought the GT Performer in this exact color scheme. If I remember correctly it…
Mongoose Grand Prix 1984
Mongoose Grand Prix is the european version from the American bike company, made by Ammaco Mongoose. It was a cheaper model for the beginners. It got a 4130 chromoly mainframe.
I found the frame/fork in France. It is built up with spare parts I had. The handlebar and brake lever was given to me by the Swedish BMX legend Uffe Meijer. My dad found the aero seat at a flea market. The chainring, spider and number plate was given to me by Patrik “Döskallen”. I found the tires at Cykelringen in Skärholmen (local bikeshop here in Stockholm, Sweden). The grips and decals for fork and seat tube are reproductions from Mongoose/B.M.X. Products LLC (the other decals are original to the frame).
Ride on!
